At the price, I had to give it try. Growing up in an Italian Parish, I recognize these recipies and ingredients. Unlike other Med cookbooks, most of the ingredients are available in most supermarkets (if seasonal) and don't cost a fortune. Pictures are not included but the meals are no-brainers. The book includes everything from breakfast to dessert. With some forethought at shopping, easy to prepare rushing after a day at work. The book definately has a "diet" nuance (low fat cream cheese) But that's easily compensated for. I like a heartier breakfast so I add more pears for breakfast, or a slice of prosciutto. Would give it 5 stars if it had a bruchetta, or other finger-tapas-like recipies for snacks & parties. I hope this chef adds it later!
There are some tasty looking recipes here - and a lot of them. My only real complaints are that the measurements are metric and some of them look time-consuming; neither of which are deal-breakers for me since only the weight of ingredients are metric (mostly you'll find common teaspoon, tablespoon & cup measurements).
As for time constraints, there's always the weekend. I recommend it.
